Position Focus:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of the Yale Program on Stakeholder Innovation and Management (Y-SIM) in development and execution of marketing and research projects and provides high-level administrative support for Y-SIM and the Yale Center for Customer Insights. Support the timely compilation, organization, and distribution of assets relating to research, marketing and communications, case studies, executive education, presentations, website copy, and publications. Manage the development and production of marketing and communications assets and collateral in alignment with Executive Director timelines. Gather, compile, and organize industry and academic research and data to create reports or summaries. Support trend analysis and insights to continuously improve marketing and program development. Format, edit, fact-check, and proofread a variety of material. Draft internal and external communications, presentations, and project briefs. Enhance presentations with graphics and videos. Lead the maintenance of website, online publications library and social media efforts in alignment with the Y-SIM marketing & communications strategy. Support development and dissemination of digital content. Leverage analytics to suggest improvements. Support the Associate Director in the management of on and off-campus events including scheduling, ordering collateral, and booking travel, catering, and event space. Prepare required forms and reimbursements. Use university’s electronic systems for expense management, travel booking, and placing orders with vendors. Oversee proper execution of brand guidelines. Serve as principal source of information on policies, procedures, and office activities. Oversee and coordinate administrative office activities, including processing financial transactions, expenses, and billing. Improve processes and administrative protocols of the department. Maintain complex electronic calendars. Assist with classroom exercises and set-up. Distribute course related information. Secure/purchase teaching material and obtain copyright permissions from publishers. Support the building, nurturing and management of network partners, faculty, fellows, advisory board, vendors, clients, students, and alumni. Ensure all prospect and participant records are accurate and up to date. Essential Duties
1. Oversees and coordinates program activities. Establishes, selects, implements, and coordinates administrative functions, procedures, and systems. 2. Based on knowledge of and experience with program activities, objectives and staff, serves as principal source of information on policies, procedures, programs and office activities. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal and external contacts. 3. Processes and monitors expenses and ensures adherence to budgetary guidelines. Prepares budget drafts based on existing budgets. May oversee, coordinate and/or complete applications and materials needed for grant submission. 4. Composes substantive correspondence and written material. Determines sources of data. Compiles, synthesizes and manipulates data. Summarizes findings and writes, produces and distributes reports or portions of reports. May create simple databases. 5. Provides editorial support for a journal/publication. Proofreads and edits material for grammatical and factual accuracy. Tracks copy through various editing and production stages. Communicates with authors, printers, and others concerned with published work. 6. Oversees, instructs, and coordinates activities of support staff. 7. Ensure compliance with University, Federal, and State guidelines, rules, and regulations. 8. May perform other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level and a high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education

Ability to work with ambiguity. Action oriented with the ability to recognize practical opportunities and problem solve to achieve solutions
Required Skill/Ability 2:
Exceptional communication skills: special emphasis on explaining, describing, and writing, i.e., bring static ideas and events to life. Exceptional copy-editing and fact checking skills. Writing sample required at interview

Required Skill/Ability 3:
Excellent computer skills including intermediate to advanced ability in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Intermediate or better ability to use Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient with video editing software, web content management systems, and social media tools and analytics
Required Skill/Ability 4:
Demonstrated ability to organize complex projects and manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously. Attention to detail. Strong focus, prioritization, and goal setting to be efficient and effective
Required Skill/Ability 5:
Ability to initiate and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to respond in a consistent and timely manner, setting and maintaining a standard of professionalism and accuracy in dealings with all customer groups
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelors in Marketing or another related field. Experience with copy-editing, research and fact checking. Experience with graphic design, photography, and video editing. Experience with Drupal
