The Prattville Mill is seeking a Mill Learning Leader. The Mill Learning Leader is responsible for implementation, continuous evaluation, and improvement of the employee training program at the mill. The Mill Learning Leader ensures consistency of the training program and alignment with site goals and enterprise training standards. This position will report directly to the Human Resource Manager.


  • As the champion/ advocate for the training program, this role provides oversight for the Mill training program and guidance to the Lead Team, department management and Department Learning Leaders

  • Drives changes and improvements through systems and instills training as a core value

  • Responsible for developing and managing the mill training budget, new hire integration process, overseeing and managing training records including safety compliance, and manage development and maintenance of training material.

  • Demonstrates and understands the importance of and complies with Mill safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices; acts as a role model for demonstrating correct safety and environmental behaviors (hazard recognition awareness).

  • Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office and capable of quickly learning SharePoint, LMS, etc.

Key Knowledge, Experience and Required Competencies:

  • Qualified candidates must also possess strong writing skills, proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships; ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred.

  • Preferred candidate has five or more years experience in leading training.

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
